Motorists stranded on Interstate 20 Eastbound


Alabama State troopers say I-20 EB and WB from the 143 Mile Marker to the 165 MileMarker has been treated by ALDOT. Traffic is stop and go. Please remind motorists not to drive eastbound in thewestbound lanes of I-20. This is extremely dangerous and against the law.


Hundreds of motorists are still stuck in their vehicles on Interstate 20 East.{}

According to the St. Clair Emergency Management, at least four tractor-trailers went off the road Tuesday afternoon.

Traffic has been stopped in all eastbound lanes. There's no word when the lanes will reopen.{} The wrecked trucks are still on the roadway because emergency workers can not reach them.
