Tarrant man, 41, arrested after leading law enforcement on chase across two counties

What was meant to be a regular traffic stop ended in a chase Tuesday night.

It all started in Jefferson County near the intersection of Sweeny Hollow Road and Center Point Road. The driver was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The suspect, 41 year old Joseph Poe, III, of Tarrant, is charged with Receiving Stolen Property 1st Degree, Attempting to Elude, Reckless Endangerment, Receiving Stolen Property 3rd Degree and Resisting Arrest. He is being held without bond.
