Murder charges dropped against two men in death of Wylam twins

Capital murder charges have been dropped against two of the four people accused of killing 17 year old twins inside their Wylam house last summer. Dayjuan Tuggle and Quentin Nixon were released Saturday.

A Jefferson County judge ordered the sheriff to immediately release Tuggle and Nixon. The decision came following a request from a deputy district attorney to drop charges in relation to the shooting deaths of Jeremi and Jonathan Berry. Court documents didn't say why.

Crystal Nelson and Stanley Chatman are still charged in the twins' deaths.

The judge did lower bond for Nelson from half a million dollars to 60 thousand. The judge wrote in the order, "this Court is deeply troubled by the fact that the Defendant has been the target of death threats during her detention in the jail." If Nelson posts bond, she's been ordered to go to a safe house.
