Possible murder-suicide in Pickens County
PICKENS COUNTY - AL —
Pickens County investigators have just wrapped up an investigation into a possible murder-suicide.
Three bodies were found at the home of 82-year-old Dora Johnson just after midnight by Carrollton police chief who was conducting a welfare check.
Johnson's body as well as her 53-year-old son, John Johnson and her daughter 63-year-old Patricia Johnson Hudson were also found.
Investigators tell ABC 33/40 that it appears the son died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and all evidence indicates a possible murder-suicide, however they are waiting on autopsy results on Dora Johnson and Patricia Johnson Hudson.
Police say John Johnson lived in the house. Patricia Johnson Hudson lived in Lamar County.
Dora Johnson was well-known as the historian of the face of the courthouse window.
