Murder Suspects Arrested

Two teenagers wanted in connection with a murder last week in Tuscaloosa are in custody.

Agents with the United States Marshals Service Savannah Office and Savannah-Chatham Metro Police arrested 18-year-old Kinute Furr{} in Savannah, Georgia. Tuscaloosa police say Timothy Thornton turned himself in Sunday afternoon.

They were wanted in connection with the murder of Matthew Callahan at River Road Condos on Jack Warner Parkway last Tuesday. Callahan attended Shelton State. Furr is being held in the Chatham County jail pending extradition proceedings.

Agents and officers also arrested Sherita Bellinger for Obstruction by Hindering Apprehension of a fugitive. Detectives say other charges against others may follow.
