One Birmingham neighborhood is getting spruced up this weekend.
Several agencies and volunteers will come together, Saturday October 13th, in the Kingston Community for a neighborhood clean-up. The clean-up will start at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. The Birmingham Police and Fire Departments will be available to provide safety, assistance, and refreshments to volunteer workers. Dumpsters, provided by the City of Birmingham, will be strategically positioned in the neighborhood. Clean-up supplies and equipment will be provided.
A free lunch will be provided for the volunteers and a drawing for prizes at 1:00 PM.
The public is invited to lend a hand in this massive clean-up effort. All interested individuals or groups are asked to meet at 9:00 a.m. at Hopewell AME Church in Birmingham.
