New Census formula shows poverty on rise

The Census is using a new formula that along with income, takes into account cost of living and medical expenses.
That's why many people who were once considered above the poverty line are now below it.
In fact, one in six Americans lives in poverty. The new formula shows seniors are the hardest hit group.
And one local nonprofit says because of economic conditions. It's finding it especially difficult to meet the groups' needs.
