New food labels could make eating healthy easier

One grocery store chain is making it easier for consumers to choose healthy food.

Belle foods announced their new shelf labeling system called "Simply Healthy."{}It is a color coded guide to note healthy attributes of a product. The labels will indicate up to{}5 different healthy characteristics such as, Gluten Free, Sugar Free, Heart Healthy, All-Natural or Low Carbs per each product.

Belle Foods is one of the first chains in the nation to help bring such important information to the attention of customers. "We want to make healthy shopping easier for our customers," said Bill White, President and CEO of Belle Foods. @

The new tags were introduced{}during the grand openings of their first two remodeled stores earlier this month. Over the next several months, Belle Foods will roll out the Simply Healthy tags to all of their 57 locations.
