Winn-Dixie shoppers will have another location to shop at beginning Wednesday. The new Inverness Corners store will open. The 54,000 square-foot store showcases Winn-Dixie newer design, combining the atmosphere of a specialty grocer with a personalized service of a neighborhood market."The amenities in our new store offer a customized experience tailored to the Inverness community," said Tim Flavin, Montgomery region vice president for Winn-Dixie. "We have listened to our neighbors and are excited to offer a convenient shopping experience with items they want and need, exceptional service and the freshest products at the right price."The newly-opened store will provide custom-prepared, chef-inspired meal. There will also be organic fruits and vegetables, along with gluten-free organic and natural products. There will also be on-the-go meal options for shoppers including a slow-roasted prime rib, beef brisket, glazed salmon and pork loin. Customers will also have an opportunity on Wednesday to donate to Winn-Dixie's Holiday Hunger Relief Campaign. Through Dec. 24, all Winn-Dixie stores throughout Greater Birmingham will be collecting money to benefit the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama. Last year, Winn-Dixie stores gave more than 334,000 pounds of food to the food bank.
