NFL Players Union becoming active in Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM - AL —
The NFL Players Union is trying to become active in Birmingham.
Alabama's NFLPA Chapter had its first meeting this afternoon with former players like Bobby Humphrey, Chris Goode, Joe Cribb and Kevin Turner, where they learned the benefits of the Players Association.
There's a large number of retired players in Alabama and one thing the NFLPA can offer is a return to the locker room "brotherhood" that disappears after playing days.
The NFL Players Association's purpose is to help former players adapt to life after their football careers are over.
