Northport man accused of making terrorist threats to police

A Northport man is in the Tuscaloosa County Jail accused of making terrorist threats. Police say it stems from a traffic violation in Homewood.

27 year old Tavarus Devone Jones was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Northport Friday at 4:30 on a terrorist threat warrant and taken to the Tuscaloosa County Jail. Police say he was pulled over in Homewood for traffic violations. His car was towed after discovering his driver's license had been revoked. That's when police say he threatened the officers.

Jones will be transferred to the Jefferson County Jail. His bond is 60 thousand dollars.
