      NRA endorses DeMarco

      The National Rifle Association has endorsed Alabama State Representative Paul DeMarco for the Republican primary runoff in Alabama's 6th Congressional District.{}"Paul's voting record on Second Amendment issues in the Alabama House of Representatives has earned him an 'A' rating," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-Political Victory Fund. "During his time in the state legislature, Paul voted for numerous pro-gun reforms that were signed into law, including one that makes Alabama a 'shall issue' permit state."DeMarco also voted to extend Alabama's Castle Doctrine to include places of business. He voted to allow for all other valid state-issued concealed firearm permits to be recognized in Alabama.{} And he voted to allow those who possess a valid Alabama pistol permit to keep handguns stored in their vehicle while at work. The Republican primary runoff vote is set for July 15th.
