Nurse involved in royal pregnancy hoax call dies

The nurse involved in a prank call concerning Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, apparently committed suicide, according to King Edward VII Hospital.

Jacintha Saldanha was found dead early Friday. Police say her death is unexplained but that no foul play is suspected.

A spokesperson{}said{}Saldanha was the nurse who allegedly transferred a prank call from two Australian radio DJs, impersonating Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles, to the pregnant Duchess' ward.{}

Prince William and Catherine are saddened by the news of her death, according to the palace.

The Duchess of Cambridge had been in the hospital for acute morning sickness. The prank phone call took place early Tuesday and the two radio personalities apologized the following day.
