Teen fatally stabbed, robbed of his bike in north Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM - AL —
A Birmingham teen died Thursday after being stabbed by a suspect attempting to rob him of his bicycle, police said.
According to Sgt. Johnny Williams, 16-year-old Timothy Bryant was fatally stabbed then robbed of his bike in the 2700 block of 29th Avenue North.
Following the attack, Bryant managed to walk a few blocks to the 2600 block of 31st Avenue N., which is near the Birmingham Police Department's North Precinct headquarters. Officers discovered the bleeding victim and called Birmingham fire and rescue. Crews transported Bryant to UAB Hospital, where he later died.
Police arrested the suspected killer in the Collegeville Community a short time later. No charges have been filed at this time.
