Transfer truck overturns in Clanton, knocks out power to nearby homes
CLANTON, Ala. -- An overturned transfer truck caused a bit of a traffic headache in Clanton Tuesday morning and knocked out power to some area homes.
The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. when the truck, which was traveling east on Highway 22, overturned at the corner of 4th Avenue and 10th Street. The driver wasn't injured, but the truck hit a power pole, knocking service out to area Alabama Power customers.
The power company is currently working to restore service.
