Oxford police investigate murder-suicide

Oxford police are investigating what they believe is a murder-suicide involving a married couple.

The Talladega County coroner said 50-year-old James Rosa and 49-year-old Curry Rosa died Tuesday at their home in The Plantations subdivision off County Line Road.{}{}Police investigator L.G.{}Owens{}said the Rosas died from gunshots.

Officers found the bodies Tuesday afternoon when they went to the Heritage Way home to conduct a welfare check, after Curry Rosa did not show up for work at Westinghouse in Anniston.

Police{}are{}waiting{}to{}identify who fired the shots, as they continue to notify family members.{} Investigators do not plan to request autopsies as the causes of death{}are not in question.
