Man wanted in sexual assault in Alabama arrested at West Palm Beach hospital
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A man accused of sexually assaulting a woman and her 8-year-old daughter in Alabama has been captured while being treated at a hospital in West Palm Beach. Palm Beach County Sheriff's officials say they received an anonymous tip that a fugitive was being treated at Bethesda Hospital East on Monday evening. Deputies found 44-year-old David Pitts, who was arrested and taken into custody without incident. Pitts is accused of abducting a 30-year-old woman and her daughter from their Ozark, Alabama, home on July 24. Authorities say he took them to a secluded area and sexually battered the woman in front of the girl. Authorities say he then molested the child. Ozark police obtained multiple arrest warrants for Pitts. He's being held for Alabama authorities at the Palm Beach County Jail
