Person struck by train in Birmingham loses an arm

UPDATE:{} Birmingham police tells ABC 33/40 two men were trying to jump the tracks on Morris Avenue and 14th Street.{} One person made it.{} The other man's arm was severed off by the train.{} He was transported to UAB hospital.{}

Birmingham police and fire are investigating a person struck by a train at Morris Avenue and 14th Street North in Birmingham.{}

Police responded to a call just after 5 p.m. today that a person had been struck by a train near the bridge on Morris Avenue.{}{} The injuries of the person struck are unknown at this time.{}
