A line of strong storms packed with high-velocity, straight line winds and heavy rains moved through Alabama early Wednesday morning leaving thousands of people without power.
The Addison Municipal Airport in Winston County experienced significant damage during the storms. Some of the small planes stored at the airport were damaged due to the high winds that caused hangars to collapse and even flipping one plane upside down.
Fayette County was also hit hard by the storms that knocked down large trees in the area.
At 10:40 a.m., Alabama Power reported nearly 14,000 outages scattered statewide.
No injuries have been reported at this time in Alabama.
