Police arrest home invasion suspect

A 28-year-old man was arrested on charges of home invasion Friday.

The Marquette Police Department reports that they responded to a home invasion at 513 Wright Street in Marquette. On August 12, around 4:45 a.m., the residents of the home woke to find the a subject in their house. He fled, and no one was injured. When officers arrived, they were told that the subject entered the house through an unlocked door. A television, computer, radio and other items were discovered to be stolen from the home.

As a result of an investigation, an arrest warrant was issued by the Marquette County Prosecutors office for Sean David McNamara, 28, on charges of home invasion, a felony punishable by up to 20 years and a $5,000 fine. He was taken into custody on August 21, and was not able to post the $50,000 bond. He is currently lodged at Marquette County Jail.

The Marquette Police Department was assisted by the Forsyth Township Police Department in the investigation.
