Man found beaten to death in Tuscaloosa; police searching for answers

A man was found beaten to death in a grassy area near the entrance of Timberlane II Apartments in Tuscaloosa. (

{}{}{} Tuscaloosa Police are looking for answers after a man is found beaten and left for dead.

{}{}{} He was discovered April 14th on a grassy area leading into the Timberlane II apartment complex on 48th Place off Skyland Boulevard.

{}{}{} Investigators say the man lived in the complex with his girlfriend but they don't believe he was beaten there.

{}{}{} The girlfriend told police that the victim left{}their apartment walking saying he was going to a party.{} Its unclear where the party was located and who he encountered along the way.

{}{}{}{}Police believe he may have been picked up by someone, beaten and dropped back off at the apartment entrance.

{}{}{} As for how he was beaten, Lt. Kip Hart says "We don't know.{} There's obviously no stab or gunshot wounds so its unknown if it was hands or feet or some type of blunt instrument."

{}{}{} The victim has been unconscious since he was found eight days ago and unable to talk or communicate with authorities.
