Police seek clues in fire at Toomer's Oaks
Police hope a video will provide clues about a fire that damaged the oak trees of Toomer's Corner at Auburn University. Authorities said the blaze started when toilet paper draping the trees caught fire early Sunday morning after the Alabama A&M victory.
University officials said in a statement that an examination of the scene revealed significant damage to both trees. Auburn Police say they hope to get clues from video shot by a city webcam that's aimed at Toomer's Corner. Police say it's still not clear whether the trees were intentionally set on fire.
