Raiders Keep McClain; Suspend Him 2 Games

The Oakland Raiders have suspended linebacker Rolando McClain two games for conduct detrimental to the team.

The Raiders were reportedly ready to cut ties with McClain entirely earlier this week. The player posted on Facebook that he was no longer{}a Raider. He later deleted the post.

The former Alabama star and Butkus Award winner was the Raiders first round draft pick in 2010. McClain's had trouble living up to the hype in 41 games in the NFL, and has become a part time player in his third season.

McClain has also had issues off the field. He was arrested on four misdemeanor counts after an altercation with his in his hometown of Decatur, AL last December.

McClain is eligible to return to the Raiders on December 10th. The suspension will cost him $114,000 in salary.
