Rainy day didn't dampen church Labor Day festival

The rainy Labor Day didn't dampen spirits at the 26th annual Our Lady of Lourdes Labor Day Festival and BBQ Monday as thousands poured out to celebrate the holiday.{}

The festival, which began at 9 am, features BBQ, arts & crafts, games, rides and more.

The church hopes to raise $35,000 this year, and 10 percent of proceeds go towards an organization hoping to give Christmas gift cards to foster children in Jefferson County.{}

Festival organizers expect approximately 10,000 to attend the festival.{}
