Raised reflective marker installation on I-65 begins Tuesday night

Beginning at 8 PM Tuesday night, the Alabama Department of Transportationwill install Raised Reflective Pavement Markers on sections of I-65 from the MtOlive Road Interchange (exit 272) in Gardendale to the Jefferson/Blount CountyLine, near milepost 283.9

In areas where exit ramps diverge from the travel lanes, (gorearea), the outside (right) lane will be closed in the area of work. The rampswill remain open to traffic, but will be narrowed to allow adequate space forequipment and personnel to safely perform the work.{} As work iscompleted in the northbound direction of travel, it will continue in thesouthbound direction.

This work will be completed as quickly as possible, dependent onweather conditions and work{}progress. All travel laneswill be reopened to traffic by 5 a.m. each day.
