Today, February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day, and to celebrate, the Primrose Retirement Community of Jefferson City surprised some senior citizens.
This afternoon, the Senior Center Valentine Dance was held in the Community Room of the Capitol Mall, in Jefferson City.
Primrose employees made surprise appearances where they handed out special gifts such as flowers to the men and women who attended the dance.
The employees also got out on the dance floor and took turns showing each other their moves.
Janet Lueckenhoff, Sales Director at Primrose Retirement Communities says, "Well today is Random Acts of Kindness Day so we're out doing a little random act of kindness...we started the morning by paying for coffee at the McDonald's in town, so there's several people who got free coffee this morning."
Lueckenhoff adds, "Today is the Senior Center Valentine Dance. Normally they don't decorate, or have anything extra so we decided we would do a little random act of kindness so we came and decorated and we have roses for the gals and guys if they wanted...so we're just here and actually we are gonna do a little dancing with them too."
Lueckenhoff also says she hopes that the men and women at the dance pay it forward and do something nice for someone else.
