Low turnout expected for Tuesday's referendum vote

Alabama voters cast their ballots Tuesday on a measure to boost Alabama's general fund budget.

If it passes, more than $400M will be taken from the Alabama trust fund. Law makers are relying on that outcome to balance the budget.

State leader say they are expecting a low voter turnout because the money transfer is the only item on the ballot, but some political scientists say this vote could be different because there has been some vocal opposition to it's passage.
