Auburn defensive back Kalvaraz Bessent has reportedly been cleared of all charges from last week's arrest in Florida.
The Opelika-Auburn News was the first to report the story.
Bessent was charged with felony possession and felony intent last Friday in Nassau County, Fla.. He was passenger, one of four young men in a vehicle that was stopped for speeding and upon further investigation Nassau County Sheriffs found 340 grams of marijuana and a .45 caliber handgun in the car.
"We're pleased to hear the state has decided there was no evidence to support the charges against Kalvaraz, all charges have been dropped," Attorney Travis Reinhold told the Opelika-Auburn News.
Charges remain against the driver and the other two passengers involved in the traffic stop.
Bessent signed with Auburn earlier this month. He's rated as a four-star cornerback out of Camden County High School in Georgia.
