Report: Cowboys Stadium "virtual lock" for 2015 college football championship

Cowboys Stadium is rumored to be a "virtual lock" to host the title game of the first college football playoff.

The official announcement of the location of the 2015 game could come by the end of next of April.

College football's four team playoff will begin in the 2014-15 season. The championship game will go to the highest bidder each year, but ESPN reports that "several communities opted not to bid" on the 2015 title game because Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX{}was considered a heavy favorite.

Cowboys Stadium currently{}hosts two college football games each season, the AT&T Cotton Bowl and the season opening Cowboys Classic.
