Georgia State assistant Keary Colbert will reportedly join the Alabama coaching staff.
It's not clear what role he'll have on the staff. He coached wide receivers at Georgia State last season.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution was the first to report the story.
Colbert attended college at USC when new Tide offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin was the Trojans offensive coordinator. Colbert left USC as the school's all-time leader in receptions.
He was a second round pick by the Carolina Panthers in 2004. Colbert also played for Denver, Seattle, Detroit and Kansas City in his seven year NFL career.
