Report: OSU's Gundy nearly left for Tennessee coaching job
Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy told CBS Sports that he nearly left to become head football coach at Tennessee when the Vols offered in December.
"At some point, that's where we thought we were going to go," Gundy said in that interview.
In anticipation of the coaching move, one of Gundy's kids even went as far as to research schools in Knoxville.
Gundy is preparing for his ninth season as head coach at Oklahoma State. OSU is also his alma mater, which he nearly led to a BCS Title opportunity in 2011.
