      Report: One confirmed death in Mississippi

      According to a report from CNN, strong storms have claimed the life of one person in Mississippi on Thursday.

      Mississippi Emergency Management Agency spokesman Greg Flynn says the fatality was reported west-northwest of DeKalb, near Mississippi Highway 493, in Kemper County.

      Flynn says the tornado hit Kemper and Noxubee counties before pushing into Alabama.

      A tornado, described as "violent and extremely dangerous" by the National Weather Service, was spotted in Noxubee County which is near the city of Macon.
