Former Alabama guard Trevor Lacey will transfer to North Carolina State, according to PackPride.com
"The coaches were real happy to get my papers, making it official," Lacey told the website. "I have a really good relationship with the coaches at NC State, and I think it's a place that I fit in really well at."
Lacey announced in April that was leaving Alabama. He visited North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Miami before settling on the Wolfpack.
Transfer rules will likely force Lacey to sit out next season. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Lacey was a two-time Mr. Basketball in Alabama while starring at Butler High School in Huntsville. He averaged 11.3 points per game and led the Crimson Tide in assists (3.2) and 3-pointers (62) last season.
