Retired Pope comes home to Vatican

{}As had been expected, Emeritus Pope Benedict has returned to his new retirement home at the Vatican. It is a converted monastery on the edge of the Vatican gardens.

He was welcomed by Pope Francis in what a statement called "brotherly cordiality." The two men then went into an adjoining chapel to pray together.

According to the Vatican, Benedict, who is 86,{}now will "dedicate himself to the service of the church above all with prayer."

Again, it was made clear Benedict does not suffer from any specific ailment. A Vatican spokesman said quite simply,"he is old and his strength is slowly ebbing."
