Reverse Tiger Walk
MONTGOMERY - AL —
The Auburn Tigers and their fans can feel it. They call this a season of destiny.
Today, the team took the first step toward what it believes will be the crowning moment, a national football championship.
Nearly a thousand fans gathered at the Montgomery Regional Airport to send the team off to Pasadena with a "Reverse Tiger Walk."
They came from all across the state to cheer on their Auburn Tigers. Rebecca Cockrell could hardly contain her excitement. "I'm so super excited! I can't wait for them to get here and I can't wait for them to get there and win!"As the busses rolled onto the tarmac and the players boarded the plane, Jason Reeves made this reflection. "It's unprecedented for a shot at five straight national championships for the state of Alabama. And we're going to bring it home baby!"Head coach, Gus Malzahn went over to acknowledge the Tiger faithful, as he prepares to coach the biggest game of his career. "We have the best fans in college football, no doubt," said Malzahn.
