JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. -- Richard Shahan, the former Homewood pastor accused of murdering his wife, is expected to be released from the Jefferson County Jail late Friday afternoon on a $100,000 bond, ABC 33/40 reporter Bryant Somerville has learned.
Shahan, 53, will be forced to surrender his passport and must wear an electronic monitoring device. He will also be required to live with his mother in her Homewood apartment.
Shahan was arrested New Year's Day at the Nashville International Airport, where he was set to board a flight to Germany. During a bond hearing Thursday, prosecutors alleged that he was moving overseas to start a new life with his boyfriend.
