Rivera Communication opening new station

{}Rivera Communications is ready to cut the ribbon on its new home radio station La Jefa, 98.3 FM.{} It will be the first all-Spanish language radio station on the FM dial in the State of Alabama. Rivera Communications has been broadcasting on AM frequency for 11 years. Company officials say they are responding to the large growth of population in the Hispanic community by providing local and national news along with entertainment for the Spanish-speaking audience in central Alabama{}Orlando Rosa, Program Director and Operations Manager said. "We are valuable, profitable brand with strong futures thanks to the hard work and dedication of our talented staff of professionals who serve their audiences, advertisers and community."{} La Jefa will feature a Regional Mexican format. {}{}The ribbon cutting will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5th at the Vulcan Park and Museum located at 1701 Valley View Drive.
