Judge Roy Moore says he expects a smoother term this time as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court.
Last time Moore held the seat, his relationship with legislators who had to approve funds for the courts was a bit rocky. That was 9 years ago. Moore says at that time, he was only the second republican to serve as Chief Justice. He also said democrats controlled the State House then. Now, Moore says the political climate will be better for a republican Chief Justice.
