SafeHouse is promoting giving campaign

During the holiday season, most people prepare to celebrate with families and loved ones. {}The SafeHouse of Shelby County is asking people to remember that there are people in our community who do not have the ability to buy gifts or food for their own holiday celebration. In a time when their lives are in turmoil and they are taking the steps to ensure their safety and the safety of their children, SafeHouse of Shelby County is helping survivors of domestic violence have a joyous and memorable holiday with the Gift of Giving.{}The Gift of Giving allows survivors to purchase holiday gifts for their children, and their children to purchase gifts for them, a tradition that they would not otherwise be able to enjoy. SafeHouse is asking the community to make this holiday season a very special one for these survivors by contributing Wal-Mart gift cards or monetary donations to the 2012 Gift of Giving Campaign.{}This year the Gift of Giving will serve over 150 survivors and children. You can help make this year's event very special by contributing to the 2012 Gift of Giving Campaign.{}All contributions are tax-deductible.{}Please mail donations to:{}P.O. Box 275, Pelham, AL 35124
