Samford library receives special Bible

Samford University Library now has a seven-volume "Heritage Edition" of the famous Saint John's Bible. The Heritage Edition takes its name from project commissioner Saint John's Abbey and University. It is a work of art that captures the spirit, scale, materials and techniques of the great medieval European Bibles. However, the "Heritage Edition" uses a New Revised Standard Version text.

Monday, April 15, at 10:30 AM, the Samford library will host a free public reception to showcase the gift. It was made by Samford employees Lori and Jeff Northrup in honor of their parents, Celia and David Adams, Sr. and Gertrude and James Northrup.

The reception will be in the lobby of University Library.
