      School closures and delays due to freezing rain in Alabama

      The National Weather Service in Huntsville and Birmingham has issued a freezing rain advisory for the following Alabama counties until 9 a.m. Friday:

      Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Morgan, Cullman, Madison, Jackson, Marshall, DeKalb, Blount, Etowah, Cherokee, St. Clair, Calhoun, Cleburne, Talladega, Clay, and Randolph.

      This includes cities like Gadsden, Anniston, Fort Payne, Oneonta, Pell City, Sylacauga, Ashland, Lineville, Roanoke, and Heflin. It does not include the Birmingham metro or Tuscaloosa.

      Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind: No buses will run Friday morning, all Alabama Industry for Deaf and Blind buses will be delayed until 10 a.m.

      Angels Christian Academy (Irondale): Open at 8:30 a.m.

      Anniston City Schools: 2 hour delay

      Attalla City Schools: 3 hour delay

      Blount County Schools: 3 hour delay

      Calhoun County Schools: 2 hour delay

      Carson Village Daycare: Open at 9 a.m.

      Cherokee County Schools: 2 hour delay

      Cleburne County Schools: Open at 10 a.m.

      Coosa Christian School: Open at 11 a.m.

      Cullman City Schools: 2 hour delay

      Dekalb County Schools: 3 hour delay

      Early Childhood Academy (Gadsden): Open at 9 a.m.

      Episcopal Day School (Gadsden): Open at 10 a.m.

      Etowah County Schools: 3 hour delay

      Faith Christian Academy: 2 hour delay

      Friends School (Warrior): Open at 10 am, no transportation
