Schools not required to make up days off for hostage crisis

Officials at Ozark City Schools say schools that took days off during a hostage crisis in Midland City will not be required to make up those days.{} Classes were dismissed for three days, January 30 through February 1, in response to the deadly shooting of Dale County Schools bus driver, Charles Poland and the abduction of Ethan Gilman.{} The district used those days off to review and exercise existing policies aimed at better protecting students both in school and on buses.
