Birmingham Police Department detectives have arrested and charged a second suspect in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Quintin Long. The second suspect has been identified as 19-year old Amber Nicole Harris of Vance. A Capital Murder warrant with no bond has been obtained against Harris. She is in custody at the Jefferson County Jail.
Officers found the body of Quintin Long laying in the street on Saturday, December 21st at 33rd Street and Avenue E. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue.
The other suspect, 23-year-old Eugene Hale, of McCalla, was already in custody. He is also charged with capital murder.
