Selma students held for school gun


{} {} Two Selma High School students are in police custody after a handgun was found in one of their backpacks.{} {} The school has a set of metal detectors students must pass through in the cafeteria, and the gun made it through the security check.{} {} Two boys, ages 15 and 17, were taken into police custody. Police say the gun was not stolen, but authorities will perform an ATF trace on the weapon as part of their investigation anyway.{} {} It was unclear how authorities were alerted to the weapon, and the school was temporarily locked down Thursday.{} {} Officials were unsure of how the gun made it onto school grounds undetected.
