Sentencing recommendations made for Ronnie Gilley, Jarrod Massey

On Monday, July 16,{}casino developer Ronnie Gilley and lobbyist Jarrod Massey will be sentenced for bribery.{} Both men pleaded guilty to offering state lawmakers millions of dollars in bribes.

Gilley and Massey each pleaded guilty.{} For their cooperation, federal prosecutors are recommending less prison time than that called for in federal sentencing guidelines.

Prosecutors want Gilley to spend almost eleven years behind bars.{} He could be sentenced to up to 27 years.{}

They recommend lobbyist Massey get slightly more than eleven years in prison.{} Guidelines for Massey's crimes could put him behind bars for 14 years.
