Service resumes in Avondale church following February storm damage

BIRMINGHAM - AL — A church damaged by a February storm has been restored. Members of Beloved Community Church held a special homecoming worship service inside their newly refurbished church Sunday night.Beloved Community Church was forced to move its worship after high winds ripped off the roof to its sanctuary in February. Easter Sunday service was even held in a nearby Avondale park. But the members continued carrying out their ministries by feeding the hungry and caring for the dying.There was a special homecoming celebration Sunday night. Members got the opportunity to gather in their restored church for worship.
