Man, 62, arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting 16-year-old girl in Tuscaloosa

{}A man is behind bars in Tuscaloosa County, accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.{} James Robert Burns, 62, is charged with sexual abuse and sodomy. {}Burns' arrest stems from an incident Monday evening.{} Around 6:00 p.m. Tuscaloosa homicide investigators responded to a residence near the 15000 block of Beacon Point Drive in reference to a sexual assault.{} The teenager stated she had been sexually abused by a man who lives at this residence, while she was there visiting a friend. Investigators were able to speak with witnesses, as well as examine the reported scene. It appears that alcohol plays a large role in this incident.The victim was treated at DCH Regional Medical Center, while Burns was taken for questioning.{} He is being held on a $50,000 bond in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
