Missing elderly man from Reform found safe
Update 3:14 p.m.The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says the missing elderly man from Reform has been located. He reportedly returned to his home around 2 p.m. Saturday, and he has contacted his family to inform them he is safe. --George R. McAdams, 88, of Reform, was last seen leaving an assisted-living facility in Northport around 2 p.m. McAdams, who visits his daughter in McCalla every Friday, made a stop at the nursing home to visit a friend. After visiting his friend, McAdams left in a red, 2009 Chrysler Sebring with an Alabama handicap tag reading, "14DM0," and was reportedly en route to McCalla, but he never made it there. According to a release, his daughter received a call from his number around 4 p.m., but upon answering, she said no one was on the line. Around 20 minutes later, she got another call from her father's cell phone number, but, again, no one was on the line.
