Jefferson county sheriff's deputies were called out last night to a fatal wreck in Graysville. The accident was reported about 9:30 p.m. on Highway 78 at Main street. Chief Deputy Randy Christian says a tow truck pulling a tractor trailer was stopped at the traffic light. A Toyota Camry failed to stop and struck the back of the truck that was being towed. The male driver of the Camry was pronounced dead on the scene. Jefferson county coroner Johnny Long has identified the driver as 49 year old Charles Maurice Rice of Jasper. A woman and child riding in the car suffered minor injuries and were treated and released. The driver of the tow truck was not injured.
