Mark your calendars. Oak Mountain State Park will host Baumhower's ShrimpFest and Barbecue on Friday, November 22.
This will be the first event in a six-part series being held at five different state parks across the state over the next year.
The ShrimpFest will begin at 3 p.m. and will take place in the beach area behind the park's main office. It will feature fresh Alabama Gulf Coast shrimp, barbecue, former Alabama and Auburn football players, live music and inflatables for children. Admission to the park will be $3 for adults, $1 for children ages 6 to 11 and seniors 62 and up.
